Best of British Back to Britain

They went to Paris, then spent a couple of weeks in New York and last week they returned back to London. Or not quite London, but Bicester Village, which is approximately an hour away by car, but so worth the drive (about that on another post). The British Designer Collective pop-up store is now open among the outlets of some of the most well-known brands. Hurry, though, cause it’s going to be there for the next five weeks. The pieces are also reduced and some have unbelievably bearable price tags. Osman, Todd Lynn, Jonathan Saunders and Marios Schwab are only a small selection of the British design talent team to be found in the Bicester Village boutique.

Oxford Revisited

Ok I know this is not a particularly fashion related post, but as I mentioned earlier I spent the last couple of weeks (months more like it) in constant reading and writing. And no better inspiration (and way to relax) than a sunny trip to the most studious town – Oxford. Just in time for the Literary Festival, I took my mum for some novel hunting. That didn’t stop us take a few photos…me and her surrounded by the amazingly green landscape of the English countryside. Bliss!

PS and I did get a few books…later on, on my Kindle that is. Just because I so much care about the blossomed trees and beautiful nature! 

Revealing Lucy in Disguise's Latest Project

Last weekend I finally had enough time to check out Lily Allen’s boutique Lucy In Disguise (the lack of fashion posts is due to me being a full time student as well as a full time blogger…and on top of that a full time intern as well). So, finally I had a chance to check out the shop and take a few photos. With a collection coming out in June and a baby on the way, Lily Allen is certainly one busy lady. At the moment the vintage store offers a large variety of costumes and accessories, some of which have been part of the singer’s stage attire. After the success of the trendy boutique, the artist is moving on to designing. Her fans can now look forward to her 40s inspired collection, which would be stocked in the same Covent Garden boutique. Ines de la Fressange's Guide to Parisian Chic

“Oh but you’re so young, how do you know about her?” exclaimed a lady behind me on the queue.  Well, isn’t that what style is all about – agelessness? Lulu de la Fressange is probably one of the most stylish models out there…ever. To begin with, she has been a muse to Sain Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld. At moment she is working with Gaultier, but most recently she has been working on her latest book, copies of which she signed today. I snapped one for my mum and happily waited my turn to meet Lulu. It was a great chance to practice my French, too (and French like it when they can speak their language). The book is now out, so hurry and get your guide to  ageless style. 

The Newest Coffee Table Book?

Some of the most exciting news in the fashion world this week has to be about Carine Roitfeld’s biography, set to come out in October. No longer editor in chief of Vogue Paris, Madame Roitfeld is now working on the project, which according to her editor Olivier Zahm would look like a “scrapbook”. Rather too creative, non? Which is exactly Carine’s signature style. While waiting for the literary masterpiece to come out, here are some of my lovely friend’s presents, which will keep me entertained.
