This is what the heading on Susie’s blog Style Bubble, one of the first fashion blogs out there and definitely one of the popular and influential online sources of inspiration. It’s creator is an epitome of the online cocoon that Stylebubble.typepad.com represents. She is candied, honest and 100% natural when answering the questions of fashionistas and only green bloggers. Her passion for fashion is not the conception that most of us perceive. For Susie Bubble it is her weakness for natural, organic material, produced by fair-traded brands and labels. The blog, she says, is not a stylish, shallow reflection of what she is not. It is an internet portal to her world, her love affair with fashion (but not trends), culture, contemporary art, nature, etc. recreated by her and her boyfriend in their small studio, so they could reach the public and her thousands of readers every day. What more romantic than that? We have so much to learn from this little genius behind the more and more developing Style Bubble. Let’s hope it expands, but never breaks. So do our dreams!

Contempoary Art at Phillips de Pury

Phillips de Pury is one of the biggest art dealers in the UK and their modern exhibition space definitely portrays a remarkable collection of contemporary art. Last night, surrounded by potential buyers and art dealers, I spotted my dream purchases. Number one in the list is, clearly, Irving Penn’s Audrey. Nevertheless, I must say I was spoilt by choice, as there were so many beautiful prints. Another favorite would definitely be a picture from a Chanel 1958 campaing which blew my mind away. So, I am glad I don’t really have to chose which one to get, cause I simply could not make up my mind.  Here is a small selection of the ones I could not leave without taking a picture of, as well as a few shots of the ambience of de Pury’s chic gallery.

I popped to the Valentino Sample Sale this morning hoping to find some bargains. The gowns were spectacular, complemented by one of these clutches which will transform a girl into Cinderella. Now I need a ball, why get one otherwise??

Opening Soon

The business of these two fashion names will soon expand with the first Charlotte Olympia to open its doors in London and the massive Louis Vuitton on Bond Street. This is going to be big! Did anyone say recession?

Sun, Karl, Chanel, St. Tropez....quoi de plus?!

I know sounds absolutely pathetic but I think so far I’ve seen Remember Now at least a dozen times and I’m not even exaggerating (must be the abundance of free time that I have at the moment). It is absolutely mesmerizing, I can’t explain it, but if you share my passion for clothes, especially the ones by Monsieur Lagerfeld you’ll know what I mean. It’s just such une tres bonne idée!

The Time Has Come

My exams are over so I have decided to devote my time on blogging and enjoying life…and a bit of exercise, who knows where the summer would take me. The next post might give a hint where my heart is taking me!

Dover Street Market Sample Sale Madness

Well, I did give it a go…and that’s all I gave it. A good and charmingly stylish friend of mine convinced me to go and I don’t regret staying in the line for an hour if only for the East London experience. It is a quite unique atmosphere, that could only be captured in this Old Street area. My friend was determined to make it inside, so I left her queuing for positively another hour. Ahh, the sacrifices we do in the name of fashion!
