A brief cultural update of this month’s must see exhibitions. At the moment Hamilton’s Gallery are showing the work of photographer Jeanloup Sieff, a selection of some of Sieff's most celebrated and iconic work from the sixties, seventies and eighteens. The variety of art work consists of fashion images, nudes, landscapes and portraits. Among some of his iconic subjects are Jane Birkin, Yves Saint Laurent and Alfred Hitchcock.
More inspirational art at Hauser and Wirth gallery on Savile Row. Louise Bourgeouis: The Fabric Work is a show dedicated to fabric and textiles. Tablecloths, linens and napkins are transformed into art. Fabric drawings and three-dimensional pieces (a gigantic spider, for instance) add to the atmosphere of what happens to be Hauser and Wirth’s new exhibition space.
