On Monday I attended an evening in honour of the British couturier – Hardy Amies. A favourite of the Royal Family and the Queen, the legendary tailoring house gathered many of Amies friends and customers. Some of the designs and models, created by the establisher of the Savile Row brand were on display in the beautifully decorated music room. Piano accompaniments and martinis made the atmosphere a bit more cheerful. And so did some of the speeches, which promised that Amies name and craftsmanship shall live in future.
