Bicester Village - The Blissful Shopping Experience

A few weeks ago I had to go and see with my own eyes the oasis of sales and discounts – Bicester Village. Now can report back that this place is more than just a myth – the outlet village comprises of some of the most well-known designer names on prices that would make you shop until you drop. And in case this literary happens, the lovely cafes and benches are there to ensure rest and relaxation before a few more hours of shopping and browsing. One single piece of advice – as with sales, timing is vital. Even though items are permanently discounted, the new stock arrives just after the end of the sales in the city. So, baring this in mind, book your tickets and let the (un)sensible shopping begin!

SHOWstudio l Shop

Showstudio’s new exhibition launched last week and I hurried to their Mayfair studio to check it out. Artists like Dan Graham, William Klein, Craig McDean have their works exhibited and on sale. A short film by Nick Knight is also part of the installation. While watching it I kept wondering whether it was available to buy. Or just like a true piece of art it was priceless…and most likely is.

Pretty Green on the Scene

The other day I attended Pretty Green’s press day at the Charlotte Street Hotel. As a comparatively new brand, Pretty Green is still not very well-known. But I guarantee you that once you try their soft t-shirt made of organic Japanese cotton or cashmere jumpers you will become part of their constantly increasing loyal clientele. Divided into more dress-up Black Label and a casual Green Label the brand is just opening a fourth store in Covent Garden. Make sure you attend the launch on May 9th, when designer and founder Liam Gallangher will be in store. Also more live performances and surprises await customers in store. Thanks PHA Media for the amazing goodie bag!
Pretty Green's collection is available to buy on their website.

Push PR Press Day

Push PR was one of the companies, which presented their brands on Tuesday (which was also my first press day this season… or ever). Their press day was held in the Soho Hotel – a hidden gem in the capital’s theatre district.  Beautifully arranged and presented, some of the brands definitely managed to capture my attention. Thematically displayed, the accessories and clothes were put into beach/ holiday section and a more dressed up area, which even included some wedding gowns. Some of the jewellery and the designed online shoes were, no doubt some of the highlights of the press day. Special thank you to the Push PR team for the invitation! Will be keeping an eye on most of the brands.

Best of British Back to Britain

They went to Paris, then spent a couple of weeks in New York and last week they returned back to London. Or not quite London, but Bicester Village, which is approximately an hour away by car, but so worth the drive (about that on another post). The British Designer Collective pop-up store is now open among the outlets of some of the most well-known brands. Hurry, though, cause it’s going to be there for the next five weeks. The pieces are also reduced and some have unbelievably bearable price tags. Osman, Todd Lynn, Jonathan Saunders and Marios Schwab are only a small selection of the British design talent team to be found in the Bicester Village boutique.

Oxford Revisited

Ok I know this is not a particularly fashion related post, but as I mentioned earlier I spent the last couple of weeks (months more like it) in constant reading and writing. And no better inspiration (and way to relax) than a sunny trip to the most studious town – Oxford. Just in time for the Literary Festival, I took my mum for some novel hunting. That didn’t stop us take a few photos…me and her surrounded by the amazingly green landscape of the English countryside. Bliss!
PS and I did get a few books…later on, on my Kindle that is. Just because I so much care about the blossomed trees and beautiful nature!

Revealing Lucy in Disguise's Latest Project

Last weekend I finally had enough time to check out Lily Allen’s boutique Lucy In Disguise (the lack of fashion posts is due to me being a full time student as well as a full time blogger…and on top of that a full time intern as well). So, finally I had a chance to check out the shop and take a few photos. With a collection coming out in June and a baby on the way, Lily Allen is certainly one busy lady. At the moment the vintage store offers a large variety of costumes and accessories, some of which have been part of the singer’s stage attire. After the success of the trendy boutique, the artist is moving on to designing. Her fans can now look forward to her 40s inspired collection, which would be stocked in the same Covent Garden boutique. If not in London check out lucyindisguiselondon.com as well as some of the snaps I took.
